18/12/07 Christmas at Valentines Restaurant
Santa (Tony Booth) takes a break from his normal yearly deliveries to watch "Doubles Chess" match between doubles
team Richard Aylett (out of picture) and Stan Yee, facing Paul Morten and Kees van den Bosch. Standing next to Santa is
Jim Benson, and sitting in front of Santa is Craig Blaxall. "Doubles Chess" is played with partners, having alternate moves
much like doubles tennis, and there is no "table-talk" allowed, similar to bridge or five hundred. It was a tough match,
with team Morten/van den Bosch very animated. Stan dreamt up "Doubles Chess". Earlier on in the night Stan started to set
up the pieces without the board, to Kees' bemusement, then proceeded to play him in a game. He calls that "Boardless Chess".
