The following open standard-rated tournaments have been processed: NZ Championship and
NZ Major Open. Club tournaments rated are: North Shore Championships (A, B, C), Waitekere
Championships (A, B), Howick-Pakuranga Booth Shield, Wellington Championships (A, B, C)
and Julian Mazur Memorial, Upper Hutt Championships (A, B, C)(period 2007-3) and Canterbury
Championships (A, B, C).
The following open rapid-rated tournaments have been processed: NZ Championship, MIT Open
(A, B, C, Junior) and Bay of Plenty 25+5 (A, B). Club tournaments rated are: North Shore
Championship (4th leg), Wanganui Championship and Otago Summer.
Tournaments Processed for 2007
The following is a list of all standard-rated tournaments processed in the three periods of 2007.
In period 1, the open tournaments are: NZ Championship and NZ Major Open. The club tournaments
are: Waitemata Championship (A, B), Wellington Julian Mazur Memorial and Canterbury Championship
(A, B).
In period 2, the open tournaments are: NZ Women, NZ Senior, Waitakere Trust Open (A, B, C,
Junior), Wellington Easter Open and Otago Queen’s Birthday. The club tournaments are: Auckland
Summer (A, C) and Winter (A, B, C), Howick-Pakuranga Parkinson Cup, Waitemata Summer (A, B) and
Round-Robin (A, B, C), Wellington Summer and Autumn (A-D), Canterbury Colthart Cup and Chas L
Hart Cup, Otago Swiss and Cleland Trophy.
In period 3, the open tournaments are: North Island, Nelson Open (South Island), NZ Junior,
North Shore Open (A, B, C), George Trundle NZ Masters and Qualifiers, Merv Morrison Memorial
(A, B), Waikato Open (A, B) and All Canterbury. The club tournaments are: Auckland Championship
(A, B, C), Howick-Pakuranga Fairhurst Pawn and Championship, Waitemata Winter and Preliminary,
Wanganui Championship, Canterbury Eric Browne Shield and Otago Championship (A1, A2, B1, B2).
The following is a list of all rapid-rated tournaments processed in the three periods of 2007.
