Fees & Charges 2011
Senior Members
Senior Members pay $120 per year, due by Tuesday 29th March 2011 (that translates to only $2.70 per week to cover tea,
coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, our rent of the hall, and $20 NZCF levy). Tertiary Students and College Students under 20
years old, and "Juniors", i.e. under 20 years old as at 1st January 2011, joining the Senior tournaments all pay $75 (that
translates to only $1.70 per week), due by Tuesday 29th March 2011. This fee includes a copy of the "New Zealand Chess"
magazine.
Associate Senior Members
Associate Senior Members pay $50 per year. Associate Senior Membership is available for those who can't make it to the Club
on a regular basis, but who nevertheless wish to enter tournaments on an irregular basis and keep their membership current.
Junior Members
Junior Members in the Coaching Cadre pay $30 per School Term, reduced to $100 for four terms if paid by Tuesday
29th March 2011 (that translates to only $2.20 per week to cover tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits for waiting parents,
our rent of the hall, and $20 NZCF levy).
To beat the deadline you can email Tony Booth tonybooth@ihug.co.nz
to ensure you get the discount.
Any non-financial people CANNOT PARTICIPATE in any of our nationally rated Club tournaments, including the Fairhurst Pawn
which starts on 19th April 2011. So come with your chequebooks on Tuesday and become financial. See "Schedule".
The above fees include a programme of tournaments and coaching of the Junior classes by New Zealand Master Leonard McLaren.
On occasions another very strong player may run a group training session, open to Juniors and Seniors. Also included is a
New Zealand Chess Federation registration fee of $20 for adults and $20 for Juniors or Children, which means a player can
enter tournaments without paying an extra fee. We continue to hold nationally rated tournaments at our Club. Easy payments
and casual fees are available.
Freelance Coaching
One-on-one coaching is not offered by the Club, but can be arranged for your child with a
Freelance Coach.
Leonard McLaren or Ewen Green are mobile Freelance Coaches, and will call at your home. You will need to make separate
payment arrangements with the Freelance Coach.
